 he laboratory project format is a short engagement aimed for exploration a
 nd experimentation.\n\nThe 3-day lab will be focused on enhancing your und
 erstanding of fairness and bias mitigation in Language Models (LMs) using 
 various research based techniques. At a time where LM applications hold si
 gnificant influence\, auditing for fairness is of most importance. This la
 b incorporates lectures\, demonstrations\, code walkthroughs\, and hands-o
 n exploration and concludes with a showcase day. By signing up for this la
 b\, you will\n\n	* Improve your comprehension of fairness and bias mitigati
 on in Language Models.\n 	* Learn to identify and evaluate both data and mo
 del biases through techniques like sentence classification\, named entity 
 recognition\, instruction fine-tuning\, chain-of-thought prompting\, and s
 oft-prompt tuning.\n 	* Acquire a deeper understanding of the development o
 f Vector's UnBIAS library to mitigate bias in data and its practical appli
 cation by actively participating in hands-on experiences.\n\nImportant Not
