Valli is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto and Hospital for Sick Children where she leverages genomics and machine learning to understand the clinical heterogeneity of paediatric cancers and develop risk prediction models for personalized patient management. She is also an Applied Machine Learning Intern at Vector Institute where she works on addressing distribution shifts and biases to ensure the responsible deployment of clinical machine learning models. Previously she completed an HBSc in Biomedical Science & Computer Science from Western University. In her spare time, she loves cooking, painting, drawing, and thrifting for fun vintage finds!
